When is a click, a click?

hi all,
I operate many websites, as a spare time hobby, and have recently started sending traffic to my sites via advertising.
When I look at my logs, I see some interesting things and I am wondering if there is a click guru around who could explain what some of these things mean.
For demonstration purposes – so its easier to understand – allow me to use one of my sites – it is an adult survey site but has adult content ads( soft core). However if you are squeamish, please dont go and have a look.

As you can see, this site contains some survey questions. Each question is an xml file.
When I , or a regular human, goes to this page my logs tend to show that the page is loaded, along with all the image files as well as the xml files.
