Adding Search To Google Reader
Using a combination of great ideas, you can put a search feature (that is sorely lacking) right into Google Reader. First, follow these instructions to export an OPML of your Reader subscriptions, then create a custom search engine based on that OPML file (which you can upload directly into the CSE). Afterwards, download the Greasemonkey script linked by Lifehacker to embed the search engine right into your Google Reader interface.
You can also probably think of a few fun things to do with these solutions, even if you don’t need a blog search in Google Reader. For example, you can export any OPML and create a search engine based on that, regardless of your RSS reader, so if you use Bloglines, you can search your Bloglines subs.
