Anyone having problems with AdBrite or AVNAds?

I’ve got a couple sites, one running AdBrite and another AVNads (both Adbrite, basically). The last month or so I’ve noticed that when I load a page, it freezes when it gets to "Waiting for ads.adbrite.com…" in the status bar (in fact, my browser, not just this page, is completely useless at this stage). Looking at my traffic and revenue I see both plummeting at the same time I noticed this problem began.
I’ve noticed this on other websites (not my own) that run Adbrite, so I’m surprised no one’s posted about it here. I’ve emailed Adbrite but they’ve never responded. Anyone got a clue? In the meantime I’ve been forced to remove all Adbrite ads from my sites and run the lesser paying ads
