Yahoo! study finds a quarter of consumers immediately go online after seeing a TV ad

In recent years, mobile and Web users are increasingly engaging online during live TV events like The Academy Awards and The Grammys. As multitasking with TV and the Web continues to grow, Yahoo! researchers took a closer look at how TV ads impact online activity. After the jump, find out how many TV-watchers searched online for information related to a commercial immediately after seeing it.

In a study called “The Evolution of TV Multitasking”, Yahoo! and Razorfish found that a quarter of multitasking consumers connect with online content related to either the TV programs they are watching or the ads they see during commercial breaks.
