Today, Yahoo! introduces a new social feature that allows brands to be a part of the content that consumers care about most. Yahoo!’s Social Sentiment Slider is a new sponsorable polling widget that poses a question related to the article a consumer is reading. The social feature lets consumers share their opinions while connecting brands to these online conversations.
Sponsored by Jaguar in the pictured example, Yahoo!’s Social Sentiment Slider is located near the end of every sponsored Yahoo! News article. The new social feature was designed to encourage consumers to share opinions with their friends around the news content that’s most important to them. With the Social Sentiment Slider, Yahoo! offers advertisers a seamless way to increase brand awareness by linking their brand messages with the content consumers are viewing and sharing most.
