Advertising Stats of the Week: 1.7 Billion to Access Social Networks via Mobile in 2016

1.7 Billion: The number of social networking users who will access those networks on their mobiles by 2016, according to ABI research and reported on AdOps.
$448 Million: How much advertisers in China will spend on mobile advertising this year. That puts them light years ahead of the closest Asian market, India, which will spend just $56 million in ’11. By 2015, China should be burning through about $1.4 billion annually. This according to eMarketer.
$199: The cash us late-late adopters will shell out to buy the new Amazon Kindle Fire, because we were too cheap to buy an iPad even though paper “For Dummies” books and trade magazines have been cluttering up our kitchens and bathrooms for years now.
