Best PPC for complete newbie that owns gaming blog/forums?

Right now, I’ve got about 20 regulars on the site, and it is a gaming blog/forum with an arcade section. I am fairly new to ads (and also owning a web site) and wonder what is the best thing to start with.
Also, is there any way to completely prevent clicks from certain IP addresses, and/or limit the amount of clicks to prevent ‘click bombing’? I know adlogger used to do this, but they are no longer up.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
EDIT: Also, noob question: I imagine any of the mods for vbulletin that are made for adsense should work for any PPC, correct? Things like these mods:
