Repeating Search Queries: Do You Do It?
My Opera web browser, normally the king of stability, crashed and completely screwed up my saved tabs, so I’m posting everything old right now, in order to set things right.
Techdirt talks about a new study that shows 40% of search queries are repeats. Apparently, people like to rely on Google as a means of cataloging and recalling information, so they’ll continue to enter the same queries in order to locate the same information. Do you do that? I know I have many queries that I’ve entered more than once, including obscure ones, and I’ll rely on my own blog to find information I knew I had sometimes, using it as a way to get information into Google (something Scoble talks about). Anyone else rely on these methods?
