Adding Competitors products via Affiliate Programs

Not sure if this is the best location, but I think it is. I currently run a successful manufacturing site that makes toys and statues. Do you think it would be beneficial to link to our competitors products from inside our store via affiliate links? The thought on this is that if they do not buy our items, maybe we can get a cut from them buying someone else’s items . The concern is that it might make our site less attractive with other competitors products listed by ours. Any thoughts on this? Is it a bad thing to have links going out from your main site to a competitors?
