Google’s FeedBurner Going Free
FeedBurner, which Google acquired in late May for a reported $100 million, has announced it will be making a number of its pro services available completely for free, something a lot of Google acquisitions tend to do. As reported at Mashable, users will no longer have to pay for TotalStats, which allows deeper statistical reporting on feeds, and MyBrand, which allows publishers to use their own URL instead of FeedBurner’s.
Of course, everyone’s really hoping FeedBurner’s TotalStats, now free, gets integrated eventually into Google Analytics.
