Is paid emails just too good to be true?

recently I registered in a website and keep receiving emails from it.By reading those emails(i dnt actually read em,i just click.) I have earned $200.(averagely $5 per email).
I just wonder is it too good to be true? Is it possible to be a scam?
I tried withdrawing money but i was told that the minimum payout is $5000 but if I join their gold membership(have to pay $20 for that) I can withdraw money at anytime with no minimum payout limit
