What does RPM mean?

I am newbie for PPCIncome program.I want to know more about that.
There is a term in PPCIncome that make me confuse.It’s RPM.
What is RPM?The site state that RPM stands for revenue/1000 impressions.
Does it mean that I’ll get money after 1000 impressions from my site and HOw much?…
