Help Improving CTR

I’ve had a blog up and running for about 3 weeks now. The main focus of the site isn’t to create revenue, but I would like it to do so if possible. Currently, I’m averaging about 100 unique visitors / day. I’ve placed Google AdWords in several places and tried experimenting with various locations and types, all with the same results – no clicks. Over the past few weeks, I’ve had a CTR of 0.38% with just over $9 earned. Not exactly the result I was hoping for.
I’m looking for suggestions on both the placement of ads, as well as any other changes I can make to better increase the CTR and overall revenue of the site. Any help would be appreciated.
