Beginning PPC Advice

I believe I’m going to start working with PPC, and use it to generate traffic to landing pages for some affiliate.
I can’t invest a lot to start off with, possibly $5 dollars a day. I know that’s not a lot, but I can’t help it. It would be possible to save like $50 up and spend like $25 two days or something, but I’m not sure.
I know I can successfully research keywords to use, so that’s not a problem.
I’m just wondering if there is any advice to be shared to a beginner, and what are some good affiliate programs for beginners.
