Fly as a Career

When I was younger, I dated a Canadian flight attendant, and from what I heard, the flight attendants who spoke more than one language (and especially those who spoke French) were the most successful at keeping their jobs and obtaining positions on international routes. Of course Canada is a bilingual nation (though I would say that most English-speaking Canadians do not know French). Still, irrespective of the bonus ability (the ability to speak more than one language) a flight attendant career is fun. When you grow old you will be able to recall all the sights seen and friendships made, and the money saved.

The International Air and Hospitality Academy, www.aha.edu, runs a well-known flight attendant school: comprehensive courses, with scholarships and other forms of financing. They also offer a Travel Agent School, a Culinary School, and Hotel Management Training & Hospitality Training. Their programs include Airline Reservations and Airport Services, Airline/Travel Specialist, Culinary Arts, Restaurant Management, Hospitality Management, and Baking Arts.
