Best Ways To Monetize Image Sharing Website

Ok so im launching a imagesharing site with an affiliate function making it possible to earn money by uploading pictures.
What i need to know is the best ways to monetize it? Should i go for clicks on ads or for impressions? Ive heard that the ctr on imagesharing sites are quite low but i need som help and tips. Should i go for impressions or clicks??? or both? Any suggestions and tips will be much appreciated.
