cPanel vs. FileZilla

I have a Virtual Private Server on Linux and need a way to upload and manage files for my website which is built using PHP & MySQL.
What is the difference between cPanel and something like FileZilla?
Can I do all of that in cPanel?
What can cPanel do in that area – and in general – that a client app like FileZilla can't?
