Advice for a Noobie

Hey everyone.
I’ve always wanted to have my own site, and now that I’d finally had a chance to have my own domain and premium hosting, I was pretty darn excited. Not because of monetizing it or anything, just the idea of having a site.
Then I became involved in the world of ads and money and the like… I put up some ads on my site from bidvertizer and have been reading up on how to basically increase your traffic and basically increase your clicks. Most stories seem like those things on tv, where you will become successful and make good money only if your that lucky one in a million guy, and it’s just discouraging. Now, I’m not looking to become rich or anything near that, just making something small, even $30 a month I’d be all smiles…
