Low Calorie Protein Bars

I’m a weight lifter, and I run, hike, and cross country ski. When I’m not in the gym, either in Canada or the United States, I’m out enjoying the coutryside in Arizona and Utah — the mountains, canyons, deserts, and hiking trails. So I use protein powders at lunch at home and glucosmine after workouts and I take high protein bars in my pack or buy them when I need a snack on the road. I enjoy eating an all natural energy bar, especially when I am in a hurry or can’t pack much weight.

I follow a low carb, low glycemic diet, the Zone diet by Dr. Sears, so even though I do not have to watch my weight, I still watch the calories, which makes healthy snack bars, and often specifically the Promax 70 Calorie Bars, a good choice for my lifestyle. Low calorie usually means low glycemic index.

Promax makes protein bars, shakes, and powders in many mouthwatering flavors.
