Any experince with layer-ads?

i want to start using them but before it i wanted to get some advice from someone that used them
recently one of my blogs be banned with google for using pay-ads,and now i fear to start any network without asking others.
i think their layer ads is so big and cover all of the page,is it worth to use them?
and other question,does anyone know that using these types of ads does affect
serp at google?
