Tracking users across multiple sites

Is it possible – and right now I'm guessing not – to track users once they leave Site A for Site B and then come back to Site A…. as long as you have access to both Site A and Site B's Google Analytics?
I'd like to see how many people leave our school's main site for our blog site, then come back to the main site.
