Need help verifying a domain

hi,
i want to sell a domain at dp
i am not able to add a txt record to the domain tha i want to sell. Its only a domain and have no site.
Its registered on godaddy.
i checked the instruction also that are provided when i try to verify ownership but that doesn't have the required information. That godaddy page have old info of adding a dns record to domain and the domain manager in godaddy is showing other type of options.
please help.
