Remove vBSEO and 301 redirect old url’s to mod_rewrite URL of vBulletin 4?

Hello,
should I remove vBSEO from my forum? I want to remove vBSEO and redirect the url's to the vBulletin 4 mod_rewrite URL's.
Are there any case studies about removing vBSEO and move to vBulletin 4 url's with 301 redirect?
Are the vBSEO functions outdated and a risk for search engine ranking?
