CMS for news+forum website

i would like to make community website with news section where users could submit news + community forum… which CMS should i use?
i was thinking about wordpress+bbpress+buddypress … but i am not sure about forum features…
another CMS I really like is vanilla forum … but i dont know how to make the news section …
what do you think? is there any other choice? what shoud i do? i have knownledge of html and css
