Establishing Viewers for a News/Blog Website

Just wondering what some ways are to help spread our new website.
What we've done so far.
1.) Keep content fresh
2.) Generate talk and get featured on several other sites due to some of the things we've discussed
3.) Launched on a great domain (scrolldog.com) with a great style
Outside of that I've had a hard time finding affiliates, but I would like to know if there are any article submission sites for blogs or just really good proven ways to find/generate readers.
