Page Not Found but not hitting 404?

I am getting a lot of "Page Not Found" errors showing in analytics but the only things showing as hitting my 404 page are people trying to link to something that doesn't exist, mis-spellings, etc. Any thoughts on where all of the "Page Not Found" errors are coming from would be incredible as I have been working on this for 2 days and even just clicked through the site as a visitor to see if I noticed anything.
