Old Google keyword VS Keyword planner

Hello to everybody
I am confused now with Keyword planner because he show now very low monthly searches for some keyword then old Google keyword tool.
Example when i was type before to check how many monthly searches have keyword : Games
on old Google keywords result was about 1 billion monthly,but now with Keyword planner for keyword : Games is only 13 mil.
Can somebody explain me how is possible now to see very big different for keyword Games or any other keyword?
