Email Confirmation takes forever!

I hate to have this be my 1st post but anywhere else when you register they send you a email confirmation right away with this I did not get any for about 5 hours. In that time I tried to contact them for help and it only let to their twitter. I then went and asked them on twitter how long it would take and or if it is working and if this really is the only contact for them. 5 hours later no responce but at least I got my email confirmation. smdh
