The Slideshare followers count is not working?

Hi,
I got a mail regarding some one is following me in slide share. But in my slide share profile the count is not increased its stable . When I check the following of user who followed me (by mail) I can't find my profile.
Is slide share is fake to send such a mail? or i cant able to see my followers?
