Adsense Newbie : Tips Please

I just signed up for Adsense and I'm ready to start. Ok so I don't have an account yet, it's being reviewed, however I'm excited. Any good tips? Or things I shouldn't do? I'm new to adsense so I'm sure i'll screw something up.
