Any good programmers out there for a star

Hey guys, I'm actually looking to start an online business. I have a few ideas about what I want it to be but I'm not exactly sure on how I'm going to program it so I'm asking for your help. I'm not too sure on what programming language might be the best to use but I've heard good things about JavaScript but I'm asking you guys what you think. I want to start something similar to a networking site. Let me know if anyone is interested in partnering up or have any input on this?
