Layout options in wordpress post

Hi,
Whats the best way in WP to lay out image thumbs and a block of text next to the thumb?
I will have quite a few thumbs (aligned left or right) down the page and i want a block of text horizontally next to that thumb to describe it. It will mostly tutorial kind of posts
Can anyone recommend a plugin? or method of doing this?
