How can I advertise a PHP web Script?

What would be the best way to advertise a web script? let’s hypothetically believe this is a facebook like script marketed as a "facebook clone" what ways could this be advertised in order to maximize profits? I have advertise my product in clone directories like clonephp.com and scriptcopy.com I have tried Adsense but I end up breaking even.. I had success so far with SEO and Script Directories. Please experts out there I would really appreciate some word of advise.
