Yahoo! study give insights into mobile shoppers’ behaviors
When you jump into the holiday shopping scrum, better take your smartphone or rival shoppers will run rings around you. Yahoo!’s Holiday Shopping Intentions study found that two in five consumers are using their mobile phones for a variety of shopping tasks, including taking photos of products, yakking with friends about on shopping strategies, or hunting for online coupons and special offers.

The study found that shoppers use mobile tools, apps and communication in a variety of ways to make shopping faster and more efficient. Twenty-five percent use their phones to take snapshots of products and send them to others; 20 percent use navigation to find stores; and 13 percent use their phones to create and manage shopping lists for their holiday gifts and tasks.
