Yahoo! gets vampire series fans’ blood up
Could there be a corner of the universe that’s not already permeated by the “Twilight” franchise, which has sold hundreds of millions of books, DVDs and CDs and raked in $1.8 billion in worldwide box office?
Yahoo! and Hollywood studio Summit Entertainment aim to push the property even further into the popular culture through a multi-layered partnership that has splashed the latest installment of the vampire drama, “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” across Yahoo!’s high-traffic entertainment sites. The sites feature exclusive movie-related content, a countdown-to-film-release clock, a Volvo sweepstakes and other promotions.
