Editor’s Note: Wednesday we announced the winners of our Yahoo! Young Media Stars, media planners who exemplify the art and science of media strategy. The winners will travel to Advertising Week as guests of Yahoo!. Here we introduce our first Young Media Star, Cailin Hegarty of Digitas.
Hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, 26-year-old Caitlin Hegarty attended Michigan State and is a proud Spartan. (“Go green!” she exclaims.) Now a media planner at Digitas Chicago, Hegarty manages one of the nation’s largest media campaigns—Bank of America. And she manages two associate media planning desks. How does she do it all?
“Beyond reading trade publications,” she told the Yahoo! Advertising Blog, “I create time each week to meet with at least one new or existing vendor to discuss our brand and learn of advancements in the industry.”
