Google helps put the Dead Sea Scrolls online
Mountain View, Calif.-based Google said the publication of pictures of five of the ancient scrolls was timed to happen “as the new year approaches on the Hebrew calendar.” Ardon Bar-Hama took the photographs, which are up to 1,200 megapixels, or 200 times more detailed than a typical consumer camera.
