Legendary British creative director Andrew Cracknell on creativity, then and now
When we heard about veteran ad man Andrew Cracknell’s new book “The Real Mad Men: The Remarkable True Story of Madison Avenue’s Golden Age,” we just had to contact him (even though the book is currently available only in the UK and won’t be out in America until next spring).
Mr. Cracknell was happy to field our questions—about advertising’s so-called Golden Age, as well as the current digital age—which he answered by email from aboard his yacht Severence, docked on the island Samos in the Aegean Sea.
