“Trending Now” Drives User Engagement
Yahoo! Search product encourages site visitors to explore new paths
The Internet can be a bit of a Wonderland for wide-eyed viewers, who are distracted by so much eye candy that they only skim the surface of a website that isn’t sticky. To address this issue, Yahoo! Search has been testing Trending Now, and it’s now available to partners. This is good news for sites that have been looking for just the right carrot to dangle in front of their visitors to lead them “down the rabbit hole” deeper and deeper to interact with additional layers of content.
Trending Now is an interactive widget that partners can place on their prime pages to engage viewers in the latest Internet search crazes.
