5 Questions with David&Goliath’s CMO Claudia Caplan
She’s not just a CMO, Creative Director and Copywriter; she’s also a client
Glancing at her resume, it appears that Claudia Caplan has been there, done that: She’s been a VP of Brand Marketing at EarthLink, a copywriter and creative director at an ad agency (Mendelsohn Zien) where she handled accounts such as BMW, Carl’s Jr. and Dole. She rose to partner of the agency and did strategy work for clients, as well (Monster Energy and Hansen’s Natural).
Now Caplan has joined independent agency David&Goliath. Actually, the 11-year-old El Segundo, Calif. shop is on a hiring hot streak: Along with CMO Caplan, newish talent includes Brian Dunbar; managing partner, director of client services; and creative directors Patrick Almaguer and Blake Kidder, from TBWA\Chiat\Day.
