checking banners from abroad

Hello,
as I am abroad I wanted to visit a site on which banners for my website should be displayed. Instead of this, ads in the language of the country in which I was were displayed (so far no surprise).
I first thought that using a web proxy from my country will be enough, after a quick googling I haven’t found one that would display ads or that would display the ads of the country it was located in.
I tought "no problem, I’ll just use a traditional proxy server instead", so, google, proxy list and the same problem was facing me: either were ads blocked or they were in some crazy language I didn’t even know that it even exists…
