Whether it’s seven inches or ten inches or 50 inches, screens have become the way we interact with the world on a daily basis. For today’s hyper-connected consumer, it’s more about getting content in the cloud, not on a specific device. People are used to having access to information wherever they are, whenever they want.
Bottom line for advertisers: Yesterday’s 60-second TV-only spot now gets uploaded to YouTube and becomes a “social object” that might be shared through social networking sites. Think holistically when creating new campaigns. From the start, take the multiple screens a user will use to view your campaigns into consideration. And get creative (see “Old Spice Guy”).
