IM and Squidoo

Just wondering about something. Right now I have a few informational websites up and running and am thinking about hopping into IM. I was checking out someone’s lens and they were doing affiliate marketing.
I was thinking about doing affiliate marketing using lens on Squidoo as well. Just wondering if it’s worth it and if there is any advice anyone would give me if I do use affiliate marketing utilizing lens.
