has anyone successfully encashed friend finder check in india

hi,
i have received cheque from aff, i have deposited the cheque in ICICI bank where i have savings account. they told that it will take 21 days for the amount to be credited. but even after 30 days the amount is not credited. when i called the customer care center they told that due to incomplete details on cheque it has being returned to the bank.
can anyone please tell me what is the problem?
