why is my $ per click so low?

Right so Im using adsense to try and make some money on my site. When I was deciding what keywords to target I used the adwords keyword tool and I ended up making my site around a keyword that according to the adwords keyword tool has an average CPC of $4.50 ish. I read somewhere that when using this tool you can expect to get roughly 1/4 of what the advertisers pay per click so that would be a little over $1 per click. Right now most of the clicks I am getting are only paying me between 3 cents and 15 cents. If it stays this low I will need way more traffic than i think i will be able to get to make a decent amount of money so im just wondering why it is so low and if there is anything I can do to get it […]
