Offering PPC services – realistic?

Hello,
I have a tentative PPC plan and would like to know if you think it is realistic:

BACKGROUND:
I have a bit of experience with adwords since I’ve used it to promote my own website. I’ve also got part way through Andrew Goodman’s book. That’s where I’m at. I have more experience with SEO than PPC at this point.
THE PLAN:
After educating myself a bit more, I was thinking of offering SEM services (i.e. managing adwords) to websites that are successfully converting customers but not yet using PPC advertising.
To be fair to anyone for whom I manage PPC, and also to motivate myself, I was thinking that I’d charge commission only (i.e. they pay me a percentage of net profits from PPC advertising).
I don’t have a ton of experience with PPC yet, but I do have the right kind of brain for it, and I think I’d enjoy it.
