DaylightMap.com has created a Google Maps mashup that overlays weather satelite imagery on Google Maps, showing you what the world has looked like within the last six hours. While Google Maps has imagery that is months, sometimes years old, these weather images are fresh, less than six hours old, and although they can’t zoom in as much as the regular Google Maps can, they give you the most updated pictures of the world in any maps implementation to date.
Also check out their map of the night sky, showing city lights from space, and another that shows day and night seperations, along with the city lights. There are multiple amazing mashups on this site, so check them all out.
