How To Edit Google Maps Manually

Robert Sollis writes about how they asked Google Maps to move the marker that points to the Royal College Of Art in Kensington for an event they were doing, so the market would match the location of the temporary tent. It’s a genuinely stupid request, but they were determined enough to make things easier for visitors that they erected this:

Yeah, it’s a marker of the kind Google Maps displays on search results, but contructed out of 185 millimeter carpet tiles. It didn’t work in time for the event, going on this week, but it was a bad enough idea that it’s good for little more than a laugh.
