YouTube Adds Remixer Video Editor, Mobile Video
YouTube has added a new TestTube feature, one that lets you do video editing on YouTube.com. YouTube Remixer, powered by Adobe Premiere Express, lets you add a number of clips in a storyboard view, add graphics (silly things like baby bottles and gingerbread men) and captions over the video, add borders, set transitions (there are only a few, and only subtle ones, thank god). The best part: Your remixes don’t replace your videos, they just are added seperately as remixes, so you don’t risk anything trying it out.
You can only have one border for the entire video, the music section is empty, you have to cut a clip to change captions or graphics, but for the most part, they’ve re-created Windows Movie Maker without all the bugs, so kudos. Expect some terribly designed “films” on YouTube created with this in the future.
