Press Releases Asking For Rebecca Lieb Interviews?

I’ve never seen this sort of thing before: Incisive Media put out a press release saying the Rebecca Lieb, Editor-in-Chief of Search Engine Watch (which they own) is available for interviews about Microsoft’s bid for Yahoo. Apparently, they want you to remember that Rebecca is available to other news organizations to discuss late-breaking details on the potential merger, including:

Microsoft’s current woes in trailing both Yahoo! and Google in the lucrative and growing business of Web search;
How the consolidation between two major players in the arena could pose a significant threat to Google;
Why Yahoo! and Microsoft have revisited this prospect after abandoning last year’s informal discussions;
How businesses that invest in online advertising, both through search and pay-per-click tactics, would be affected.

I love giving interviews and quotes for other journalists, and I’m sure plenty of people do to, but its almost silly issuing a press release saying […]
